Rebecca and James’ wedding at Trailside Event Center in Peoria Illinois was everything they had hoped for, an easy and laid back day, surrounded by family and friends celebrating their marriage. These two share an incredible love for one another and being able to capture them celebrating that love in the exact way they envisioned it was beyond amazing.

Rebecca and James got ready for their day separately with their wedding parties before heading over to their beautiful wedding venue. The historic Trailside Event Center has SO much character and so many unique spaces, making it the perfect venue in Peoria to have every part of a wedding day at. We started off their day with a handful of first looks. Rebecca is extremely close with her family so making sure she set aside time with her grandparents and mom prior to the rest of the festivities of the wedding day was so important. These moments were SO sweet and I’m so happy she prioritized documenting these sweet moments with her family members the morning of her wedding.

First Look, Wedding Portraits, and Their Ceremony

After first looks with her other family members, we found a beautiful space outside Trailside Event Center to meet up with James for Rebecca and their first look with one another for their wedding day. James and Rebecca loved having this moment alone together before the rest of the day’s festivities. Let me just say real quick that I am in LOVE with their wedding attire. James wore a turtleneck for his wedding day shirt with a gorgeous blazer and Rebecca had a timeless wedding dress with a lace trimmed shawl that she popped on and off throughout the day! After the two had their first look with one another we had some time for some wedding portraits before their ceremony. The ceremony itself was beautiful beyond compare and an incredible experience all around.

Celebrating Rebecca and James Wedding at Trailside Event Center

To start off their wedding reception at Trailside Event Center right Rebecca and her sisters put together an awesome dance that hyped up their wedding guests and was SO much fun to watch. They have done a choreographed dance at each of their weddings now which has become such a fun tradition! They had ALL of their guests laughing and as soon as they were done, with the help of Top Hat Productions, the dance floor was filled almost instantly. Everyone laughed and danced and sang so hard celebrating the newly weds. Then, to end the night Rebecca James and I snuck outside for the two of them to take a moment just the two of them and soak in their wedding day. There was a BEAUTIFUL sunset too so we were able to snap some sunset photos before I left them to party with their guests.

Being able to photograph and be a part of Rebecca and James’ wedding at Trailside Event Center in Peoria was a dream come true.
