One of my favorite sessions to photograph as a Central Illinois photographer are maternity sessions for a number of reasons. Maternity sessions are amazing. They show off how cool and incredible a woman’s body is and all the changes it goes through when growing a babe. Taylor’s maternity session was a special treat as she wanted to get a little creative which I LOVE. We added some personal touches to her session and even took some portraits of just Taylor!

Central Illinois In-Home Maternity Session

While I do love the beautiful prairies that makeup Central Illinois, there’s something so cool and special about an in-home maternity session. In-home sessions show off so much of your life and your relationship. It’s a display of the stage of life you’re in and how you and your partner make the space your own. Add the excitement and the exhilarating experience of your pregnancy to the mix and it makes your in-home session just that much more special. 

Getting Creative as a Maternity Photographer

As a photographer in Central Illinois one of my favorite parts of maternity sessions, and really any session, is getting creative with my clients.  It’s the simple things that really can take a maternity session to the next level. Clothing that shows off your personal style as well as your body, adding flowers to your session, or making your session a touch more boudoir oriented are all great ways to really make your maternity session your own, as you can see from Taylor’s album. It was SO much fun to work with her throughout the session and bring these ideas to life, and I’m so happy with how they came out!
