When I think of wedding days that have come together perfectly just as the couple envision Karis and Jesse’s celebration at The Ivy House in Milwaukee instantly comes to mind. Their day had so much love and care put into every detail, and it shows! It makes total sense as well knowing about Karis’ business she runs and how much care and effort she puts into her craft. Check out her work here! I had SO much fun with these two and capturing all of the best moments from their day and cannot wait to show you all.

Details of Their Wedding Day at The Ivy House

Their wedding venue The Ivy House has a very distinct style aesthetic to it which really spoke to Karis and Jesse. They chose the venue as they knew they wanted to spend the entire day here and created their wedding day based on the space. You can really tell when looking at the details how much thought went into every part of their day. Everything from each bridesmaid’s dress, the florals that were used, and even the candles on all the tables all fit this beautiful and cohesive vision that was true to what they wanted for their wedding day.

Getting Ready and a First Look

Karis and Jesse got ready separately for their wedding day so as to not see one another before their first look. Karis got ready with the company and hype from all of her bridesmaids in one of the getting-ready spaces that The Ivy House has available for weddings. Once Karis was ready she had a small first look with her gals which was SO exciting for everyone. We then made our way outside of The Ivy House for Karis and Jesse’s first look which was one of my favorite moments of the day. Seeing Karis for the first time was so emotional for Jesse he shed a few tears of joy which was just so sweet. After the two had a moment together with a little extra hyping up from Karis’ wedding party in the windows above them Karis Jesse and I walked around a little for some portraits.

Their Wedding Ceremony and Reception at The Ivy House

For the wedding ceremony as well as the cocktail hour Karis and Jesse chose to have it in The Ivy House’s outdoor space. The ceremony itself was beautiful and it was amazing seeing everyone there so happy to see these two wonderful people become newlyweds. Having the cocktail hour in the same space as their ceremony was incredible as it streamlined the afternoon and allowed Karis and Jesse to actually enjoy cocktail hour as well as some extra time chatting with their guests.

Once it was time for their wedding reception to begin we made our way inside of The Ivy House for the festivities to begin. The Ivy House is a modern yet industrial venue with beautiful brick walls with ivy vines in contrast to the massive steel beams in the ceiling. It’s such a breathtaking space and is legitimately incredible to be in during a celebration like this. After some great food and some lovely speeches, Karis and Jesse spent the rest of the evening dancing the night away with all their guests, just how they wanted it.

Being a part of Karis and Jesse’s wedding day at The Ivy House and capturing these beautiful moments for them was a dream come true. I love these two so much and am SO happy with how their album turned out.
