I have a special boudoir session to share with you all today. Marisa’s boudoir photos in the Chicago suburbs are some of my favs, not only because of how they showcase ways to make your boudoir photos unique to you, but also because she’s one of my best friends in photography! Marisa’s willingness as a photographer herself to try any funky ideas I had for her photos made this such a fun and creative boudoir session!

Marisa’s Boudoir Photos in the Chicago Suburbs

Marisa’s boudoir photos were done in the winter of 2023 in the suburbs of Chicago. The session was a mix of casual, sexy, comfy and moody. The cool, natural light of a winter day was great to work with throughout her session. We were able to fit a TON of variety into her boudoir session through multiple outfits, a variety of backdrops for the photos, and finally Marisa’s willingness to try out some of my more artistic ideas. This all combined to create a boudoir album that felt magical, varied, and also wholly unique to Marisa and her style!

Making Your Session Feel Like You

What exactly do I mean by Marisa’s boudoir photos in the Chicago suburbs feeling unique to her? If you’ve read my article on what to wear for your boudoir session, then you’ll know how important it is to be both comfortable and confident in yourself during your session. Different people achieve this through different means. Some feel that sense of empowerment by the way they look in their favorite piece of lingerie, others by wearing their favorite oversized band shirt and a pair of panties. There’s no wrong answer here when it comes to boudoir photos, as long as you’re feeling confident in yourself, you’re doing it right!
