I had the absolute pleasure of taking Haylee’s boudoir photos in Chicago recently, and the two of us had SO much fun together! We kept her session and her attire simple which honestly was the perfect choice. It let us showcase her natural beauty as well as her incredible tattoos, which just goes to show how you don’t need elaborate lingerie in order to make the most of your boudoir session, something we’ll talk more about later in this article. First though let’s take a look at Haylee’s session!
We lucked out with the lighting for Haylee’s Chicago boudoir session, having a gorgeous sunset peeking through the windows for her photos. The sunset provided a soft warm glow for us to work with throughout the space, and accentuated her tattoos and wardrobe perfectly! Speaking of her wardrobe, I mentioned Haylee kept things simple, opting only for 2 different pairs of bras and panties, each with their own unique pattern on them. This combined with her dope tattoos gave her such a badass yet sexy look that I CANNOT get over! The bed, wonderful brick walls, and other furniture that was provided in the space gave us the perfect setting for her session.
Now that we’ve taken a look at Haylee’s boudoir photos and seen the highlights of her session in Chicago, let’s talk a bit about the outfits she chose for her session. I mentioned that keeping things simple worked incredibly well for her, and after seeing the photos I think you’ll agree! I’ve written a few articles now talking about what to wear for a boudoir session and how to pick lingerie for one. Boudoir photography by nature is an incredibly vulnerable yet empowering form of photography.
Both of my articles I mentioned will go into deeper detail with this, but the important thing to note is everyone has insecurities. When planning out your wardrobe for your boudoir session, whether you wear a bra and panties, a babydoll, or some other form of lingerie, focus on accentuating the areas you love about yourself. Also talk with your photographer about any areas of your body that you sometimes have trouble loving, so that through posing and the use of lighting we can create an album of photos that YOU love. That’s what’s most important after all!
I loved taking Haylee’s boudoir photos in Chicago and am SO happy with the way our session together turned out!
