As a photographer in the Bloomington area, a Destihl Brewery wedding in their Barrel Room is ALWAYS such a good vibe. Beautiful landscape, large windows, indoor and outdoor options, industrial decor, room for everyone, plus lots of good beer. That’s why when Christina and Nate reached for their wedding at a place they absolutely loved, I said – sign me heck up.
With wedding coverage being a little shorter at 6 hours of coverage, we still were able to get everything Christina and Nate wanted for their day. Some details, first look, portraits with their lil baby, ceremony, and reception while also getting lots of candids and true personality photos for these two. First, their first look and couple portraits were done privately behind the Barrel Room in the courtyard with the overcast day adding a *chef’s kiss* moody, dreamy and authentically fun element to the photos. Because we had a smaller wedding party, those portraits were done inside the Barrel Room before the ceremony.

The I do’s were short and simple. Christina walked down the aisle to a tattooed and hilarious Nate where they high-fived after their first kiss. Immediately heading to the bar to grab a cold bev to celebrate. Because when you have a Destihl Brewery wedding, you need to have a beer on tap right after. A beautiful perk of a brewery wedding! We knocked out some quick family photos and headed into reception.

A reception dress change is always welcome and appreciated! So Christina went all out with a sequin sparkly long sleeve cocktail dress complete with an embroidered black jean jacket. Literally so good, she looked like a celebrity. Basking in the glow of their “Til Death” neon sign, we ate and drank and danced the night away.

Great question! I do have a lil blog about making a wedding day timeline over here. However, here are some quick tips for my personal coverage style:

Christina and Nate’s Destihl Brewery wedding took place in one location – inside and outside of the venue. This made our 6 hour timeline super easy to navigate and brought some greenery into the day. The flow of the day allowed for plenty of space. Also, guests got to enjoy the industrial brewery atmosphere while celebrating two really really awesome people!
