As an engagement photographer for Chicago and its surrounding areas there is nothing I love more than when couples incorporate their passions into their session. That is exactly what Sarah and Jacob were able to do for their session in Rochelle, Illinois and I am SO happy with how it turned out! From Jacob’s love of cars to the two’s love of cozy fall clothing their session had it all.
For Sarah and Jacob’s fall engagement session we first started out in one of the fields near Rochelle for some classic fall vibes. Before long though Jacob was itching to get back into town as it meant we got to move on to the next part of their session, photos with his classic Chevelle SS! Jacob loves cars and this Chevelle is his pride and joy, so incorporating it into their engagement photos felt SO right. The sun was setting creating the perfect atmosphere for their session.
For the last part of their session Sarah and Jacob both wore some cozy fall clothing including their favorite slouchies which are basically super comfy oversized beanies. These two LOVE their slouchies, so it really was the perfect way to wrap up their session! Incorporating the things that you love and that make you who you are as a couple is something I will always advocate for my clients to do as a Chicago engagement photographer. But how exactly do you decide what to include?
Like I said before, including things that you love in your engagement session, outside of your partner, of course, can really add to the feel of the session. Incorporating your passions into your session not only makes it that much more fun in the moment, but also adds SO much to your engagement session album! As an engagement photographer for Chicago and its surrounding areas I have photographed a LOT of engagement sessions, and trust me there is no better way to make your session feel like you than this.
Whether it’s something big like Jacob’s car or something small like their slouchies the options are endless. You don’t have to stop with just objects either. Having your engagement session somewhere that means something to the two of you is a great way to make it more personal. Whether it’s your favorite bar or brewery, or the ice cream truck you had your first date at, having your engagement session in a space that means something to you can add just as much to your session as including any sort of props!
I’m beyond ecstatic with the way that Sarah and Jacob’s engagement session turned out. It goes to show that incorporating your passions into your session can really take your engagement photos to the next level, and creates an album that you will forever LOVE to look back on.
