When it comes to boudoir photography and being a Chicago boudoir photographer, one of my favorite aspects of it is getting my clients to feel both comfortable and confident in themselves. Boudoir photography often takes people outside of their comfort zone which can be a little nerve-wracking. This was the case for Haley’s session, but as we worked together we were able to create a session where she was confident and felt beautiful throughout it!

My Goal With Chicago Boudoir Photography

Boudoir photography by nature is a very vulnerable style of photography while at the same time being uniquely empowering. Both of these feelings are completely natural and valid. My goal with my Chicago boudoir photography is to use these feelings during your session to have you looking and feeling your absolute best. A lot of people think boudoir photography is only for your significant other, and while that can be the case it is so much more than that! The photos do make for great gifts for your partner, but more than that they empower you and showcase the beautiful badass that you are! And make for a great gift and experience for yourself!

Haley’s Boudoir Session

This was Haley’s first time ever doing a boudoir session, which as I mentioned earlier took her a bit outside of her comfort zone as she tends to be pretty shy. Something I pride myself on with my Chicago boudoir photography is my ability to get my clients to have fun with their sessions. Haley and I found the best way to get her to loosen up for the session was to blast some of her favorite rap music, so we were rocking out during her session! Even still her session was so fun, chill, and relaxed which made it such a great and safe space for creating.

I am so glad with how Haley’s session and album turned out! It just shows that no matter your comfort level in front of the camera, you can have a killer boudoir session if you let yourself.
